Full Spectrum is a non-profit with a mission to change how children are educated and supported in our area. It was founded by Anne Yarema, a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College with a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Literacy and Curriculum through Lesley University. She has over 15 years of teaching experience in both public and private education and had previously been running a successful tutoring business, Ultimate Academics, for seven years. After much thought, and a drive to create social change and have a larger effect on the lives of children in her community, she decided to begin a new journey and found a nonprofit.
For the past 3 years, Full Spectrum has offered tutoring and enrichment in homes and local libraries, with the goal of finding a location to expand and offer more family support services. We are excited to have a new home in Wadsworth, Ohio! Anne and her staff are all highly qualified under national and state standards. Each of our tutors is a current or former teacher and has completed a background check.
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Full Spectrum Learning Center emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2017, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Contact us to learn more and get involved.
Due to 2020 being a year of great uncertainty, we have tried to step up to the many challenges our families and educators are facing. Our staff has created the Change Agents Initiative in response. We are building a coalition, based on our extensive teaching experience, a foundation in Trauma Informed Education, and a willingness to step outside our comfort zones to provide opportunities for our community members to get the support they need. Our programs will strive to be as diverse as possible! Whether it is preschool, VLA pods, parent support groups, or socialization opportunities for our children with special needs, Full Spectrum plans to meet the challenges presented to us and adapt as we go!
