Three programs will be available:
Option 1: M-TH program from 9:00-11:30 (Ages 4-5)
Option 2: M/W/F program from 12:30-3:00 (Ages 3-4)
Option 3: T/TH program from 12:30-3:00 (Ages 3-4)
All enrolled students will have access to Friday Morning Enrichment (extra fee) where we will provide additional art, music, stem, and mindfulness activities.
This will be offered from 9-11:30.
A little about the program:
The Change Agents Preschool Program was established in 2020 to provide opportunities for the integration of learning in all areas of development--- intellectual, physical, social and emotional. The learning experiences our teachers plan for children are designed to concentrate on furthering children’s interests and emerging capabilities through creative activities and academic curriculum.
Our classroom was designed to entice children to become involved in learning activities. The structure of the learning environment is intended to both allow and encourage children to explore and learn through their play. Additionally our program supports children’s growing independence and self confidence through the many opportunities to participate and make decisions. We incorporate mindfulness activities into our daily structure to teach social-emotional regulation skills.
Our pods and future full preschool program will incorporate the Wilson Fundations curriculum, which provides activities for learning letter-keyword-sound, alphabetic order, and letter-formation skills. It makes learning letters and sounds fun while laying the groundwork for life-long literacy. Fundations serves as a prevention program to help reduce reading and spelling failure. Progress monitoring is built into the curriculum, which allows students requiring a more intensive program to be identified early before undergoing years of struggle.
